Monkey ass

An old variety already mentioned in 1912 in the French magazine "la conserve alimentaire".

I have to admit that I grew this variety purely because of the funny name..  But it did not disappoint.  Lovely beefsteak variety with  pinky red fuits and  firms flesh. Heart shaped with juicy sweet flavour.

Produces fruits over a long time. I grew this as a vine with two main stems.

Early to mid season.
